Peter de Werd is associate professor in intelligence and security at the Netherlands Defence Academy and guest researcher at Radboud University’s Interdisciplinary Hub for Digitalization and Society. He has an academic background in military sciences and political science. His current research interests include intelligence in military organizations, intelligence oversight, and critical intelligence studies. He has authored the book US Intelligence and Al Qaeda: Analysis by Contrasting Narratives, published by Edinburgh University Press in 2020.
