Itsuko Yamaguchi will speak on “How to find effective remedies for global legal and ethical problems relating to AI and digital platforms: Toward a legal paradigm shift.” In pursuit of global privacy protection, she proposes a new conceptual framework: the Tokyo paradigm. This approach is grounded in a pluriversal ontological worldview. Rather than relying on a top-down mandate, it proactively empowers individuals to solve global problems by utilizing rigorous remedial measures, such as extraterritorial privacy injunctions. In doing so, she aims to advance next-generation international collaboration while simultaneously embracing regional cultural differences.
